667 Permit; The total number of Building Permits during March 2017

​The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics has released the 39th edition of (Qatar; Monthly Statistics) which is released on a monthly basis to highlight detailed statistics in the State of Qatar recorded during the period March 2017 in addition to glance from 2015 census results.
One of the leading variables in this issue is the significant increase in number of building permits, as the total number of building permits has reached only 667 permits during March 2017, and thus recorded a 40.1% increase in comparison to February 2017.  Municipalities which have shown a significant increase in the number of building permits are Doha, Al-Rayyan and Al-Tha'ayen.
One of the leading variables is the increase of aircrafts movement at Hamad International Airport, as the total number of arriving and departing aircrafts has reached about 21,841 aircraft during March 2017, which recorded a monthly increase of 12.4%. As for passengers movement at Hamad International Airport, the total number of Arrivals attained 1,605 Thousand passengers during March 2017, while the total number of Departures recorded about 1,615 Thousand passengers during the same period. Thus, the total number of Arrivals recorded an annual rise of 5.3%, while the total number of Departures recorded an annual rise of 4.9%.  In the same context, the total number of Arrivals to Doha reached approximately 428 Thousand passengers, and scored a monthly decrease of 2.1% compared to past February 2017. The total number of Departures from Doha reached approximately 439 Thousand passengers, and scored a monthly increase of 16.6% compared to past February 2017.
The demographic statistics of bulletin shows that Qatar’s population has reached more than 2.6 million at end of March 2017, attaining an annual increase of 5.2% compared with population at end of March 2016 which accounted for approximately 2.5 million.
In regard with Vital Statistics, the total no of births has reached 2,072 new born in March 2017, where the total no of deaths has reached 184 death case during the same month.  The total no of marriages was 370 marriage contract during March 2017, where the total no of divorces was 105 divorce declaration during the same month.
The bulletin also highlighted that the total number of registered vehicles has reached 7,823 new vehicle during March 2017. The figure has registered a monthly increase of 25.7% compared to last February 2017, where the total number of registered vehicles attained was 6,225 new vehicle. In regard to traffic cases, the bulletin showed that the total number of traffic cases was 497 traffic case during March 2017. The figure has registered a monthly increase of 2.5% in comparison to last February 2017. The total number of death cases has reached 12 death case during March 2017.
In regard with traffic violations, the total number of traffic violations has accounted to 163,538 violation during March 2017, resulting in a monthly increase of 3.4% in comparison with previous month February 2017 where it reached 158,213 traffic violation. The bulletin also shows an increase in the total number of “Violating Traffic Signals” violations and a decrease in total number of “Radar” violations during March 2017 in comparison to last month February 2017.
In regard to electricity and water consumption rate, the bulletin showed a monthly increase of 24.5% in electricity utilization, as the total electricity utilization value has reached 2,540 GWh during March 2017. The bulletin also showed a monthly decrease in total water consumption rate by 12.4%, as the total water consumption value has reached 44,775 Thousand m3 during the same period.
Total broad money supply (M2) recorded about 518 Billion Qatari Riyals during the month of March 2017 showing a monthly increase of 0.2% compared to last February 2017. On the other hand, cash equivalents (including deposits) attained for 753 Billion Qatari Riyal during March 2017. The figure has recorded a monthly decrease of 1.7% in comparison with February 2017, as it recorded approximately 766 Billion Qatari Riyals. In contrast, Total broad money supply (M2) recorded an annual increase of 2.4%, while cash equivalents (including deposits) recorded an annual increase of 13.8%.
The bulletin also highlighted Climate indicators. The indicators show an increase in average Temperature of about 30% and a decrease in Average Humidity of 5% during March 2017 in comparison to last February 2017. The bulletin also highlighted the amount of Sewage water received and treated. The bulletin showed that more than 40% of treated wastewater have  been reused in agriculture during March 2017.
